A big change of plans in our final traveling days. We wanted to stop over in Dachau, visit the Dachau Concentration Memorial Site the following day with a final stop in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg… but we were tired and we could already smell home from Dachau… So we just drove home from Dachau. Fortunately we had a really good drive, without any big delays. Yay for that!

I am a bit disappointed though, because there were something I wanted to see and didn’t see (the castles, the Memorial Site, even in Slovenia). But we really underestimated traveling with a kid – or at least we didn’t want to believe we couldn’t still do a lot of things. Because our program was adjusted. And there were days we really didn’t do much. But there were still some days that were packed too much for out little guy to be happy (although he wasn’t unhappy). Luckily for us he slept rather good inside the baby carrier… but no more freaking hotels or us. Let alone when there’s a heat wave. Maybe in a few years, when he’s six years old or something I’ll try a hotel room again. For now I am extremely happy we had apartments for most of the times. Because he really was a brat in the hotel rooms :-).

I would do this trip all over again, but I would’ve stayed longer around Triglav and maybe visit the eastern part as well. Maybe some other time. For now we’ve learned a lot for our trip next year – if there will be any.
