Yes! Our first official holiday of 2017! We’ve had to wait way too long for this one to arrive, if I may say so! But within a few days it’s happening!
Some things have changed though since our last holiday. The most important one is that we have a fellow travel partner! It’s to say… we have a dog. Yes, Nova. A little puppy that’s now 4 months old. And we are taking her with us to France. So that means: adjusting – adjusting – adjusting.

Here’s our itinerary.

Day 1 – Belgium to Troyes
France, here we come! We decided to not drive more than 3 hours in a row, because Nova, can’t handle that – or at least, her bladder can’t. That’s why we decided to make a stop in the Parc Naturel Régional de l’Avesnois, the highlight of the day.

Day 2 – Troyes to Châteaugay
Moving on! The hightlight today is the Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan. I think you might’ve guessed what our adjustments are… a lot of natural parks to go walking with our dog. But being just a small puppy, she actually can’t walk for more than 20 minutes per session. So that means that we’ll need to carry her along the way as well. And with “we” I mean the boyfriend. Of course.

Day 3 – Châteaugay – X
Before we arrive at our resting place in France, we pass by the Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d’Auvergne. I am really looking forwards to this park! With some left-over volcanoes. Nothing can go wrong here, right?

Day 4 ‘til day 7 – X
Resting, resting, resting. The only city we will  visit– as we’re not far away from it, is go to Oradour-sur-Glane. We ment to do this on our way back home, but dogs aren’t allowed here. And I didn’t want to leave Nova in the car… so adjustments had to be made 😊.

Day 8 – X to Belgium
Oh, we’re coming home again.
