During our stay in Algeciras we had the possibility to book a tour to Morocco: Tanger. I couldn’t let that pass me, so we did book a tour!
We had to walk towards the harbor (which wasn’t far from our hotel). From there we had to take a bus towards Tarifa, the most southern part of the mainland of Spain. There we got our papers checked and we had to get on the ferry. On the ferry you have to wait in line to get your passport stamped but then you’re good to go.
Once we arrived in Tanger, with all sorts of companies, the guides were calling out for their specific group. When we found ours and the group was complete, we entered a small van and drove around the city to get towards our stops: the Grotte de Hercules, a very beautiful cave – well the viewpoint is pretty, Cap Spartel, the place where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea are meeting each other, and a tourist trap to get on top of a camel and ride in a circle… (which we didn’t do). After that we drove back to the city and got a quick city tour through the Medina, the historical center and the Souk, the market.

After visiting the city, we took the ferry back to Tarifa and the bus back to Algeciras.
